LaFAYETTE — Mrs. Marylene Story Blunt, 81, of LaFayette, Ala. passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Opelika, Ala.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, 11 a.m. CST at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in LaFayette with the Rev. Michael T. Stiggers, pastor, and Bishop Larry Shaw, eulogist, officiating. Interment will follow in Handy Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mrs. Blunt is survived by four sons: Bobby (Amelia) Carr, Jarvis (Sara) Story, Gary (Hilda) Blunt, all of LaFayette, and Charlie (Jennifer) Blunt III of Brewton, Ala.; two daughters: Lamerle (John) Patten of Beulah, Ala. and Cresandra Bryant of Opelika, Ala.; two brothers: Willie J. Story of Hampton, Va. and Clifford (Lera) Story of LaFayette; two sisters: Frances Preer and Cynthia Story, both of Manhattan, N.Y.; three sisters-in-law: Sandra Harmon of Mableton, Ga., Nell Postell and Eloise Harrison, both of LaFayette; 37 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
