Cracker Jack’s restaurant closes

Cracker Jack’s, a seafood restaurant in Valley, closed Saturday for good, according to former employees of the business.
Raely Martin and fellow cook Michelle Griffin said the announcement was sudden. They both said they enjoyed working there and would miss the establishment’s unique atmosphere.
The Valley Times-News reached out to owners Ramona and Russ Russel for comment. Ramona deferred comment to Russ, and Russ could not be reached Tuesday afternoon.
Customers began to ask questions on social media when the digital sign in front of the restaurant disappeared.
“It was blown over by the wind,” Martin said.
Musicians regularly played on the patio and special events were frequently announced on Cracker Jack’s Facebook page, which appears to no longer be available.
