Mrs. Magdalene “Maggie” Hinton

Mrs. Magdalene “Maggie” Hinton, 89, a resident of Valley, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019, at the East Alabama Medical Center Lanier Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at 4 p.m. EST at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Reed & Rev. Ben Hewitt officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Bonner; grandchildren, Robbie Worthy (Bobby), Renee Miller (Jeffrey), Ashley Turner (Matthew), Taylor Hussey (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Katie & Sydney Worthy; Hunter, Eddie, & Van Miller; Chaffin Jackson; Brantley & Asher Hussey; Garrett Waller; & Miranda Turner; brother, Jimmy Chaffin (Beverly); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hinton, daughter, Tammy Holliday, and granddaughter, Wendy Kirby Jackson.
Mrs. Hinton was born in Randolph County on April 12, 1930. She was a member of Plant City Baptist Church for several years where she taught Sunday School. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful person who loved to cook and was an avid Alabama football fan.
