SHERIFF’S OFFICE reports

LaFAYETTE — Four people were arrested in Chambers County on Tuesday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

John Askew, 36, of Lanett has been charged with a probation violation;

Hannah McDaniel, 28, of Valley has been charged with a grand jury indictment for the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance;

Latasha Preston, 48, of College Park, Ga. has been charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and trafficking marijuana;

David Jones, 33, of Jonesboro, Ga. has been charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and trafficking marijuana.

There were 171 inmates in the Chambers County jail this morning.

VALLEY reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Tuesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Shantara Ellen Carr, 29, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and

Ana Teague, 33, of Valley has been charged with public intoxication.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, theft of property, third degree, was reported on the 1800 block of 51st Street, and theft of property, first degree, reported on the 1800 block of 28th Street.

LANETT reports

LANETT — Two people were arrested in Lanett on Tuesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Key Vashaun Pruitt, 30, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay on a charge of driving under the influence, and

Rasheed Malik Williams, 21, of Five Points, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear on a charge of driving with an expired tag.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett police, theft of property, first degree, has been reported on the 1100 block of North 12th Circle.
