Ms. Shockley became Ms. Bea/Grannie Bea to everyone she met. She was a strong prayer warrior and prayed for everyone who asked whether she knew them or not every day. Ms. Bea was a strong, hard-working Christian woman who was determined to fight and beat cancer. She enjoyed working with children at the day school, working in her garden, and her beloved pets Cocoa and Missy. She enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and praying for all the people she met along the way. But most important to Bea was her daughter, Debbie and her grandson, Gregory who she resided with. It brought her happiness to take care of Debbie and Gregory every day. She loved her two children, Debbie and Charlie, and she could not go a day without checking on them.
