LaFAYETTE — Mrs. Dian Reed Thomas 71, of LaFayette, Ala. died Tuesday March 6, 2018 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Ala.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Chambers County June 11, 1946 to the late J.W. Reed and the late Mildred Welch Reed. She was a member of the LaFayette Heights Baptist Church. She worked at Playtex and later worked for the Russell Corp. and later for Lowe’s Pharmacy.

Graveside services will be held Friday March 9, 2018 at  4 p.m. CST at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., prior to the graveside.

She is survived by her son, Brian Thomas of LaFayette; two sisters, Carol (Ellis) Brown of Roanoke, Ala., Judy (Gary) Butler of Opelika, Ala., two grandchildren, Kaine Thomas and Katie Thomas, along with nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be David Hand, Mark Walden, Matt Thomas, Jay Brown, Rusty Brown and Bo Smith.
