Lanett reports

LANETT — Four people were arrested in Lanett on Wednesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports:

Karl O’Brien Scott, 31, has been charged with assault, third, and criminal mischief, third.

Brenda Louise Finley, 50, of LaFayette has been charged with criminal trespass, third.

Timothy Orlando Varner, 22, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

Jamilah La’shae Burley, 28, of Lanett has been charged  with being a fugitive from justice.

Incidents reported to the LPD on Wednesday include criminal trespassing, third, and menacing on the 1000 block of North 12th Court, and identity theft on the 1900 block of East 1st Avenue.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Wednesday. According to Valley Police Department reports, Richard Dwayne Carter, 39, of Hogansville, Ga. has been charged with receiving stolen property, third, and theft of property, fourth.

Valley officers are investigating an incident of identity theft that took place on the 2100 block of County Road 388.

Sheriff reports

LaFAYETTE – Two people were arrested on Wednesday in Chambers County. According to Sheriff’s Office reports, Timothy O. Vanrer, 22, of Lanett has been charged with failure to appear (FTA) in drug court to answer charges of marijuana possession, second degree, and  Lashauntin Beatrice Thomas, 23, of LaFayette charged with harassment and FTA – driving while suspended and FTA – no child  restraints.

Today’s jail count is 145 inmates.
