Thursday April 19th at West Point Active Life The Reigning 2017-2018 Ms. Senior Georgia Sandra Komiskey will have a meet and greet from 10 – 10:30 AM and will speak from 10:30 – 11. Everyone is welcome to attend. No children please. For information call 706-645-3580.
Friday April 20th West Point Active Life will hold its monthly Billiards Tournament. You must be 55 + to compete, there are no restrictions on where you live, sign up is free and starts at 9:30 AM, tournament starts at 10 AM. Winner receives a Trophy and an invite back to play in our yearly winners tournament held in January and of course bragging rights. Lunch available daily for $2. 1114 O.G. GriefShare, a special help seminar and small group support for people experiencing grief and loss, will be held on Sunday evenings at The Bridge Church beginning March 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. CDT for 13 weeks excluding Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
Starting on Thursday, April 19th, the Chambers County Lanett Annex will no longer be open during the lunch hour. The operating hours will be 8 a.m.-1`2:30 p.m. EDT and 1:30-5 p.m. EDT.
A fish fry and bake sale will be held in Standing Rock, Ala. from noon till 7 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 21. Plates will be $10 each and will include catfish filets, cole slaw, hushpuppies, and French fries. For tickets, call (706) 586-0252. Proceeds will go to the Standing Rock Community Building Project. Drive-through pick-ups will be available at the Dodgen home, located on a hill off County Road 278 on the east side of Standing Rock.
