Sheriff’s office reports
LaFAYETTE — Three people were arrested in Chambers County on Monday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office,
William Stevens Jr., 59, of LaFayette has been charged with sexual abuse, first degree;
Javokia Williams has been charged with failure to pay on a charge of no child restraint, and
Cedric Winston, 51, of Lanett has been charged with two counts of failure to pay.
There were 169 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Tuesday morning.
Lanett reports
LANETT — Two people were arrested in Lanett on Monday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,
Cedric Horatio Winston, 51, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and
Richard Chase Montgomery, 23, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.
In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue; harassment and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 3000 block of Phillips Road; the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported on the 1100 block of North 12th Circle; criminal mischief, third degree, and harassment were reported on the 800 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway and harassment was reported in the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue.
West Point reports
WEST POINT — Two people were arrested in West Point on Monday. According to West Point Police Department reports,
Daryll Laclinton Sellars of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with a probation violation, and
Derrick Arvello Gibson of Lanett has been charged with aggravated battery.
In incidents being investigated by West Point officers, theft of an automobile was reported on Agate Street and battery was reported on Spruce Street.
Valley reports
VALLEY — One person was arrested in Valley on Monday. According to Valley Police Department reports,
Jamie Ray Smith, 39, of Valley has been charged with obstructing a government operation.
In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported on the 1000 block of Newton Road and harassing communications reported on the 1200 block of 30th Street.
