Lanett reports

LANETT — Five people were arrested in Lanett on Tuesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

William Christopher Colley, 39, of Lanett has been charged with harassment and criminal trespassing, third degree;

Damian Artez Jones, 25, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Kaylee Michelle Sides, 29, of Auburn, Ala. has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer traffic-related charges;

Kristina Briana Brown, 21, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with possession of a concealed weapon without a permit, and

Keavis Sharmal Sands, 19, of Lanett has been charged with possession of a concealed weapon without a permit.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, harassing communications was reported on the 800 block of North 12th Avenue; criminal mischief, second degree, was reported on the 800 block of North 13th Street; criminal trespassing, first degree, and criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 1800 block of 35th Avenue SW, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 100 block of North Gilmer Avenue.

Sheriff’s office reports

LaFAYETTE — Five people were arrested in Chambers County on Tuesday, According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Larry Love, 26, of Lanett has been charged with obstructing justice/false identity, probation revocation, FTA – child support and failure to pay – assault, third degree;

Deandra a Hyatt, 46, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with FTP – speeding;

Cureze Avery, 24, of LaFayette has been charged with theft of property, third degree, and burglary, third degree;

Donna Duncan, 52, of Waverly, Ala. has been arrested on a grand jury indictment for murder, and

Aviance Dowdell, 19, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with disorderly conduct.

There were 163 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Wednesday morning.

Valley reports

VALLEY — One person was arrested in Valley on Tuesday. According to a Valley Police Department report,

Kenneth Wayne Elliott, 29, of Valley has been charged with receiving stolen property, first degree, and attempting to elude.

West Point reports

WEST POINT —West Point police officcrs are investigating several incidents that were reported on Tuesday. According to West Point Police Department reports, financial transaction card fraud was reported on East 4th Street, theft was reported on East 5th Street and two separate incidents of theft were reported on Avenue D.
