LaGRANGE — A Night of Worship and Unity Benefit Concert will be held tonight at New Community Church , 1200 S. Davis Road, LaGrange, featuring Kevin R. Dunn live in concert.

According to Dunn, this is the third time he has held this event. The first was back in 2015 followed by a second in 2017.

Money raised will go toward West Georgia Hospice.

Dunn plans on performing a number of hymns accompanied by the United Benefit Mass Choir, a group made up of singers from surrounding communities.

Also featured will be the Pilgrim Baptist Church Ensemble and the Chosen of Faith Baptist Church.

During the first event, Dunn raised $7,600 and $6,800 the second year.

“I’m hoping to raise $10,000 this year,” he said.

While admission to the concert is free, offerings will be accepted.

“People are free to give,” Dunn said, adding he hoped the event would bring people together who normally do not have the chance to worship together.

“It’s a win-win for the community,” he said.
