Mrs. Mary Ussery Morgan

VALLEY — Mrs. Mary Ussery Morgan, 97, of Valley, Ala, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the EAMC-Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her daughter, Debra Williams and her husband, Randall; her two grandsons, Benjamin Williams and his wife, Jennifer and Matthew Williams and his wife, Joy; her four grandchildren, Emma Williams, Molly Williams, Micah Williams, and Asa Williams; one niece and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis A. Morgan.
Mrs. Morgan was born on April 30, 1921 in Bacon Level, Ala. She was a graduate of Handley High School in Roanoke, Ala. and was an active member of Fairfax First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, arranging flowers, and painting. She was a former member of the West Point Pilot Club, the Fairfax Garden Club, and the Magnolia Garden Club of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Keith Gambill and the Rev. Russell Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Shawmut Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Fairfax First Baptist Church or to Chattahoochee Hospice in her memory.
