CUSSETA. Ala. — Mr. Claude A. Estes, 80, of Cusseta, Ala. passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Estes was born on November 15, 1937 in Lanett, Ala. to the late James Harvey Estes and Mary Lizzie Crenshaw Estes.

He was a member of the Faith Evangelistic Church.  He was a family-oriented man and loved his family.  He was a very talented carpenter who enjoyed working with his hands and with wood. He also loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Martha K. Fincher; children, James Estes, Linda Kelley, Gary East, Dale East, Mike East, Katie Gray, John Gray, Linda Harper, Walter Gray; brother, Earl Estes; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and his Chihuahua, Lily Lou.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley with interment following in Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett.  The Rev. Clinton Hadaway will officiate. His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. EDT until the service hour.
