Two arrested on Troup armed robbery charges

LaGRANGE — On Friday, two people were arrested by Troup County deputies on charges of armed robbery.
Deputies responded to a call from Mooty Bridge Road in reference to the incident. Upon arrival they met with a juvenile who told them he was at a residence on Mount Zion Road when someone pulled him to the ground and attempted to take a fanny pack from him. As the two were struggling, another person approached brandishing a gun and threatening to shoot the person being attacked if he did not surrender the fanny pack.
The victim complied with the request, and the two subjects made off with the fanny pack, which contained a reported $200 in cash.
Two people, Lance Gregory Billups and Marquavious Blackmon, have since been arrested on charges of armed robbery in connection with the case.
