The Beulah Bobcats sent the home crowd happy as the team downed Loachapoka 68-60 at home.
The score makes the game look like it was close, but Beulah dominated the first three-quarters of the game. The Bobcats held a 54-29 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Beulah got production from every member of the starting lineup. LJ Fitzpatrick led the way with 17 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and one steal. Demarion Foreman followed Fitzpatrick with 15 points, four rebounds and four steals.
Ethyn Prestridge added 12 points, four rebounds, three steals and one block for the Bobcats. Cameron Baker also had 12 points to go along with one rebound and one steal.
Jederian Foreman posted a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Foreman also had two blocks and one steal.
Despite controlling the game for three periods, the Bobcats nearly collapsed in the final period. The Indians outscored Beulah 31-14 in the fourth period.
Beulah’s offensive struggles in the final period made it hard for the team to close the game out. The Bobcats finished the game with 18 turnovers, with several of those coming in the fourth period. Beulah also missed eight of its 13 free-throw attempts in the fourth period.
Despite the late-game lulls, it was still a great win for Beulah. The Bobcats are now 1-3 on the season, and the team faces Horseshoe Bend on Thursday to end a four-game home stand.
