Lady Bulldogs fall to Handley at home

LaFayette’s girls basketball team struggled to get anything going on either side of the court as the Lady Bulldogs fell to Handley at home 47-20.
The Tigers came out and completely dominated the court. Handley jumped out to a 20-0 lead after the first period and piled on from there.
The Lady Tigers pushed their lead to 34-9 at halftime. Handley took most of its starters out for the majority of the second half but still outscored LaFayette 13-11.
Akia Brown led the way for Handley with 10 points. All of Brown’s points came in the first half of the game.
Jayla Hooks was the leading scorer for LaFayette with eight points. Aronique Kyles followed Hooks with six points.
