Sheriff’s office reports
LaFAYETTE — Five people were arrested in Chambers County on Wednesday. According to West Point Police Department reports,
› Amber Diane Bryant, 37, of Beulah, Ala., has been charged with a probation violation and failure to pay on a charge of illegal possession of prescription medication;
› Phillip Edward Halm, 59, of Rockledge, Fla., has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;
› Kristy Sue McCarley, 37, of LaFayette, has been charged with failure to pay child support;
› L’cheko Montorious Cheeks, 24, of Lanett, has been charged on a grand jury indictment for harassment, and
› John L. Dawson Jr., 47, of LaFayette, has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer child support charges.
Valley reports
VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Wednesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,
› Deontrelle J. Silmon, 26, of Lanett, has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and
› Jeremy G. Fetner, 40, of Opelika, Ala., has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.
In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, harassment is being investigated on Boyd’s Circle, a property dispute was reported on 29th Street, harassment was reported on the 200 block of West Sears Street, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, second degree, was reported on the 5500 block of 16th Avenue and domestic violence, third degree (harassment), was reported on the 900 block of Sydney Street.
