Advertising for LaFayette’s police chief opening has been in the LaFayette Sun Newspaper for four weeks. 

During Monday night’s meeting, City Council member Tammie Williams asked City Clerk Louis Davidson for an update on the ad. 

The last advertising is on Wednesday, April 24. Williams requested that the advertising be stopped after that. The application window will be closed as the police committee reviews the first round of applications. 

Williams said the police committee will meet this week to continue discussion on the police clerk position as well.
