The Lady Bobcats struggled to find their offense as Beulah fell to Randolph County 3-1 in game two of the area tournament.
The Tigers got the scoring started as a run scored on a ground out in the top of the first inning. Beulah fought back in the bottom of the third inning as a double from Abrianna Green and a walk from Libby Buchannan put Beulah in prime position to take the lead. The Bobcats got just one run out of the rally as Madyson Snedigar drove Green in with a ground out.
Randolph County was not to be denied as the Tigers scored on a single and a groundout to take a 3-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning.
Beulah’s offense was limited throughout the game. Green led the way with two hits and a run while Buchanan and Claire Dubose each added a hit. The Bobcats finished with just four hits on the day.
Snedigar got the start in the circle and allowed six hits, two earned runs and three walks while striking out two batters in seven innings of action.
The loss dropped Beulah to 12-12-1 on the season. The Bobcats will face Dadeville at 11 P.M. E.T. on Saturday with the winner facing Randolph County in the area championship.
