Lanett City Schools recently launched a new app to provide “everything within Lanett City Schools in your pocket.”

“We’re always searching for new ways to connect with our stakeholders. And so this app allows for us to do just that,” said Jennifer Boyd, superintendent of Lanett City Schools. “… And as we all know, most people use their smartphones as a primary source of communication.”

The app is available to Apple and Android devices. The app is easily accessible and user friendly to provide access to contact information and school updates. Families and stakeholders can find out the latest announcements, upcoming events, school breakfast and lunch menus and athletic information on the app. 

“And my favorite feature of them all is the notification option because it allows us to push notifications and updates through the app,” Boyd said. “And I think this is a cool way of staying connected with our families.”

Boyd said that launching the app is a part of the school system’s overall vision to increase their brand awareness. In addition to launching the app, they also have a new and improved district website that has been updated. 

“We’re living in a small school district with big rewards, and we provide quality educational experiences for our students. And we’re very proud of that,” Boyd said. “And so we want to increase our brand awareness locally and across the state to show that we are proud of who we are, and we want our stakeholders and our students to take pride in being from Lanett.”
