Lanett reports

LANETT — Four people were arrested in Lanett on Wednesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

James Houston, 49, of West Point has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) – alcohol.

Brandon Carwell, 26, of Lanett has been charged with failure to appear in court (FTA) to answer traffic-related offenses.

Christopher Gibson, 42, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping.

Coral Ridgeway, 44, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – traffic.

Lanett officers are investigating several incidents that were reported on Wednesday.

Criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 900 block of First Street; theft of property, fourth degree, on the 2800 block of South Phillips Road; theft of property, fourth, on the 100 block of North Gilmer Avenue and burglary, third, and theft of property, first, on the 800 block of North 6th Street.

Valley reports

VALLEY — Three people were arrested in Valley on Wednesday. According to Valley Police Department reports, Charles Wurtsbaugh, 48, of Valley has been charged with public intoxication; Alicia Arrington, 34, of Lanett charged with FTA – traffic, and Keegan Newton, 37, of Lanett charged with criminal mischief, second, and domestic violence, third.

Valley officers are investigating a report of domestic violence taking place on the 1800 block of 28th Street.

Sheriff’s Office reports

LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested in Chambers County on Wednesday. According to Sheriff’s Office reports, Patrick McCurty, 31, of Carrollton, Ga. has been charged with possession of a forged instrument, second degree, and John Brooks, 51, of LaFayette with failure to pay (FTP) – DUI.
