Sheriff’s office reports
LaFAYETTE — Seven people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,
› Terry Nobley, 48, of Five Points, Ala. has been charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance;
› Stacy Carter, 45, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer charges of burglary, third degree;
› Sean Layton, 37, of Salem, Ala. has been charged with FTA – unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance;
› Jeremy McDonald, 30, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;
› Shaquille Huguley, 24, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with FTA – no insurance;
› Gregory Peterson II, 39, of Lanett has been charged with a probation violation and FTA – two counts of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and
› Carey Meadows, 55, of Five Points has been charged with FTA – assault, second degree, disarming a law enforcement officer, receiving stolen property, first degree, resisting arrest and attempting to elude law enforcement.
Lafayette reports
LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested over the weekend in LaFayette. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,
› Ricky Whitlow has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and
› Javontae Holloway has been charged with criminal trespassing, third degree.
In incidents being investigated by LaFayette officers, recovered property was reported on Avenue A Southeast and harassment was reported at the Indian Woods Apartments.
Valley Reports
VALLEY — Four people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,
› Kimberly Estes, 42, of Valley has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia,
› Timothy Brown, 54, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia;
› Deborah Renea Mathis, 50, of Lanett has been charged with driving under the influence, and
› James Harrell has been charged with domestic violence, third degree (harassment), criminal mischief and interfering with a domestic violence 911 call.
In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, theft by deception, third degree, and criminal possession of a forged instrument was reported on the 400 block of LaFayette Street, a suspicious event was reported on the 1000 block of County Road 502, criminal trespassing, second degree, was reported on the 2600 block of 18th Place, theft by deception, third degree, reported on the 3400 block of 20th Avenue and domestic violence, third degree (harassment) reported on the 300 block of Sydney Street.
West Point reports
WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,
› Jakana Brooks of Lanett has been charged with driving under the influence.
