The Greater Valley area will be closed for business on Thanksgiving. For those wanting to do some last-minute shopping before the holiday festivities, here are the holiday hours for local businesses:

• Valley Times-News Office: Closed Thursday and open until 12 p.m. ET on Friday. However, our e-editions and online stories will still be coming out as scheduled. 
• Kroger (Lanett): Closes at 5:30 on Thursday; opens at 7 a.m. on Friday
• Walmart: Closed Thursday
• Givorns: Closes at 4 p.m. on Thursday
• Post Offices: Closed on Thursday
• City of Valley: All day on Nov. 28 and 29)
• City of Lanett: (All day on Nov. 28 and 29, and closes at 3 p.m. ET on Nov. 27) 
• City of West Point: (All day on Nov. 28 and 29)
• City of LaFayette: (All day on Nov. 28 and 29)
• Courthouse/Annex: (All day on Nov. 28 and 29)
