The Bradshaw Library in Valley is hosting a holiday open house and book sale for browsers to enjoy. The book sale begins on the day of the holiday open house, December 16, and runs through January 3. 

Residents can fill up a bag with gently used books for $5 each from the designated tables set up around the library. 

To kick off the event, residents are encouraged to come out on the 16th to enjoy a holiday treat while at the book sale from 1 to 6 p.m. EST. 

This is not the first or only event of the season for the Chambers County Library. On Dec. 12, the LaFayette Library hosted a cookie decorating activity at 3:30 p.m. CST. 

The library hosts story time and afterschool programs every month for children and families in the community to participate in.
