Mrs. Liller Mae “Wootie” Lamb

LaFAYETTE — Mrs. Liller Mae “Wootie” Lamb, 98, of LaFayette, Ala. died Monday August 27, 2018 at the LaFayette Nursing Home. Wootie was born April 8, 1920 in Tallapoosa County, Ala. to the late John Worthey and the late Nannie White Worthey. She was a member of the Sandy Ridge Methodist Church and had retired from Avondale Mills in LaFayette after 25 years of service.
Graveside services were held Wednesday August 29, 2018 at 3 p.m. CDT at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Tyler Worthey officiating. Visitation took place at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., prior to the graveside service.
She is survived by her daughter, Janis (Richard) Lashley of LaFayette; her son, Nick (Jackie) Lamb of Penton, Ala.; grandchildren Landon Lashley and Chris Lashley of LaFayette, Rick (Jaime) Lashley of Beauregard, Ala., Britton, Gracyn and Caelyn Lashley, all of Beauregard and Aly (Keith) Goutremout of Glenfield, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Heflin Lamb and grandsons Nick Lamb. Jr., and Derek Lamb.
