Sheriff’s office reports
LaFAYETTE — Nine people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,
Dequavious Demond Cobb, 27, of Auburn, Ala. has been arrested on grand jury indictments fir three counts of capital murder, one count of murder, and seven counts of assault, first degree;
Daniel Aldorado Williams, 46, of Lanett has been charged with four counts of failure to appear in court to answer child support charges;
Zyia Abner, 23, of Lanett has been charged on grand jury indictments on conspiracy to commit rape, first degree, conspiracy to commit sodomy, first degree, sexual abuse of a child under 12 years of age and endangering the welfare of a child;
Curtis Clint Thompson, 28, of Valley has been charged with FTA – driving under the influence, and two counts FTA – driving with a revoked license;
Chabasky Jomtez Lowe, 30, of Valley has been charged with FTA – child support;
Ricky Allen Burns, 59, of Lanett has been charged with being a fugitive from justice;
Corenta Deshun Avery, 23, of Lanett has been charged with obstructing a government operation and driving with a suspended license;
Richard Hilton Tomlin, 64, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – possession of marijuana, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia;
Darian Deshawn Woody, 27, of Valley has been charged with attempting to elude and possession of marijuana, second degree.
There were 171 inmates in the Chambers County jail Monday morning.
Lanett reports
LANETT — Eight people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,
Dale Wade Thompson, 26, of West Point has been charged with FTA – traffic;
L’cheko Montouris Montez Cheeks, 24, of Lanett has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer;
Dasaundra Nakia Lewis, 32, of Lanett has been charged with criminal mischief, third degree;
James Lashon Whitlow, 44, of LaFayette has been charged with tampering with physical evidence;
Keaton Shawn Winston, 39, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;
Richard Hilton Tomlin, 64, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
Amber Nicole Lott, 32, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and
Daniel Aldorado Williams, 46, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.
In incidents that are being investigated by Lanett officers, the unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 100 block of South 2nd Avenue, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 400 block of North Gilmer Avenue, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 600 block of South 16th Avenue, the unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1100 block of South 3rd Street, the criminal use of defensive spray was reported on the 600 block of South 3rd Avenue, menacing and criminal mischief was reported on the 2300 block of South Broad Avenue, domestic violence, third degree – harassment was reported in the 200 block of North 9th Avenue and harassment was reported on the 1100 block of 44th Court SW.
Valley reports
VALLEY — Six people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,
Gail Key, 31, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay;
Daniel Stephen Tomlinson, 33, of LaFayette has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
Januari Nelson, 23, of Valley has been charged with burglary, third degree, possession of a burglary tool, possession of a controlled substance, and theft of property, fourth degree;
Robert Patrick Williams, 31, of Valley has been charged with burglary, third degree, possession of burglary tools and theft, fourth degree;
Chabaski Lowe, 30, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree, and
Kenyetta Dawson, 29, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay – traffic.
In incidents that are being investigated by Valley officers, a gas drive off was reported on the 600 block of Fob James Drive, theft of property, second degree, was reported on Woodland Avenue, burglary, third degree, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1800 block of 40th Street.
West Point reports
WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,
Tykia Lockhart of Lanett has been charged with reckless conduct.
