The Valley Police Department is searching for a runaway teenager last seen more than two weeks ago, according to Valley Police Chief Tommy Weldon.
Darron Keith Earles, 16, of Valley was last seen on Thursday, Oct. 25, as he left Valley High School with belongings in his backpack.
Weldon said Earles was seen walking toward the Circle K gas station, but there isn’t video evidence to show if he got into a vehicle.
“We believe somebody picked him up, but we don’t know who,” he said. “We have been interviewing people who saw him last but haven’t had any luck.”
Weldon said Friday that the police believe the teen ran away and wasn’t abducted. He also Earles has several relatives in Georgia which the police have checked but without success.
“We think he is probably with a family member, but we don’t know who,” Weldon said.
The teenager was reported missing by his father and stepmother.
Anybody with information about Earles’ whereabouts is encouraged to call the Valley Police Department at 334-756-5200.
